Secret courts in Northern Ireland. A Note (2011)

Secret courts organized by the police and legal worthies operate in Northern Ireland. Evidence is given by informers and double agents with the aim of creating a system of extra-judicial measures including executions and secret prisons. The courts comprise Anglican clergymen, some  detectives and Masonic judges. The effect of their decisions is to deny access to legal remedies, incarcerate suspects without trial and introduce professional bans.

In Antrim this secret court is known as the County Antrim Grand Jury. It awards bursaries for research into constitutional law and takes submissions from detectives. In March 2013 the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland called for the summoning of  these Star Chambers.
